Stitch A Leaf 2013
POPIN’s community craft project for 2013 will invite the public to stitch leaves using cross-stitch techniques. A thin rope with 4 different shaped leaves (the leaves will be cut out from mesh material used for cross-stitch and needle point) will be prepared by POPIN for the participants to use.
The activity will mainly take place in park locations, on a rug, in a picnic like setting. The participants can choose the leaves they would like to work on and help themselves to any of the materials provided. Any uncompleted leaves will simply be left on the rope for the next participant to carry on with. There is no fee involved for anyone to take part in this interactive craft project.
All the leaves attached to the rope will be exhibited at the end of the year in a public location for everyone to enjoy and appreciate.
