Crafting after crafting with a little break in between, it was an "enlightenment" ;)
It started with Woven Basket by Shu Ning, then Paper Decoration by Cynthia, then Macrame Necklace/Wall-hanging by Yulia, and ended with Watercolor painting by Shirly. Some of us did feel a little bit overwhelmed at some points where some of the crafts were totally a new territory, but hey that's the point of learning isn't it *wink* But we had the rescue from all the knotted-faces: the healthy lunch and teas, Thanks Betty & Nia! :D
The retreat wasn't all for work with no play, we had a hi-tea moment by the pool (Thanks to Xiu Ting for the delicious cake & Betty for another round of 'magic' tea) with a fun review of Nathania Z's upcoming Hoodie Making workshop. She surprised us with her ukulele & singing too! It was lovely afternoon..
Almost 6.30pm, we walked back to the house and getting ready for Amy Woo's Yoga for Crafters, this one was the real enlightenment :D When we do crafting, sometimes we forget to take a break and some of us has developed pain on some parts of body, ie. back, fingers, wrists, neck and so on. Amy gave us some simple and doable exercise examples that also taught us to work with slower pace and create more awareness in everything we do. Of course our favorite pose is the Savasana ;D
Today is all about crafting, so what is better to end the day than watching The Handmade Nation. Watch it! it is inspiring :)
10AM-10PM .. wow, let's do it again! :D
